Nodiatis is a very interesting game. It comes to the table with a promise of excitement and adventure but only for those of you that love strategic and complex character development. You will surely enjoy the possibility to test the character you created against others and you do have an interesting PvP system, which is not really classic. When talking about MMO settings we can say that this is quite a classic role playing game but PvP is a little more special now. Now you can become an ultimate bad guy as you can kill other players and steal items from them. No the problem is that if you force an attack and win, you will not only get prizes but the ultimate punishment as well. After that moment, if you die you are completely dead. There will be no resurrection possible. It is exactly this permanent death feature that sets Nodiatis appart from other games online. (more…)

XBox Live Arcade is one service that you should really take advantage of if you own an XBox 360. It brings in a lot of high quality games and we are talking about over 170 arcade games that you will surely enjoy playing. Let us think about those that have been the most popular and that draw in so many happy gamers. You might agree or not but what is sureis that the popularity of these XBox Live Arcade games is justified.

Bomberman Live

We are sure that you played Atomic Bomberman in the past. This is one game that brought in so many happy memories for a lot of gamers. We did not really think that it could be better but on XBox Live this game got even more entertaining. People can play online and there are a maximum of 8 players at a time. If we play locally we can battle it out classically in a maximum of 4 versus mode. You get all of the classics of the gam and insane powerups that make it a party everytime you play it.

Bionic Commando Rearmed

Oh Capcom Capcom! So many classic games that we played in the past. This is one of them and when it appeared on XBox Live it was a sure hit. This game put in new weapons, a reworked score of music, online rankings and a 2-player cooperativ mode that is so much fun.

Read the list of the other games that are recommended on Computers and Video Games.

The truth is that there haven’t been many Harley Davidson games so far and the real problem is that the ones that have appeared are not that great. People do think that this one is even worse than most of the others. Thinking about the fact that I have not played most of the others I can not provide real info on this but I do think that this game will be liked by some people.

The first thing that seemed strange is the fact that this is a game that revolves around Harley Davidson, one brand of motorcycles that is not really involved in speed. With this in mind the idea of a Harley Davidson racing game seems strange from the beginning. Now starting the game the first impact is not that bad but as time passes we get to realize that everything is repeated. The game is not (more…)

Well, I like basketball games so I bought it and tried it. I must say that on the hole I was very unsatisfied with the game and I really wanted to try it and find good things about NBA 08. Not many are there to find! The only good part of the game was one game mode, The Life, which had a very good storyline and it is basically a franchise. It has now reached version 3 and it focuses on the entire team you choose, placing you directly in the shoes of some players. There are some cut scenes that prepare the actual gameplay moments and you basically go through a tutorial of low post drills, shooting and passing. This way you learn how to play the game and as time passes and you complete the drills you will go through scrimmages, preseason games and the actual season. Every scrimmage and game you play will be accompanied by some tasks and a limited amount of time to do them.

The problem with the Life is that (more…)

I can not remember one Tekken game that was not entertaining, especially in versus mode against friends. I used to play Tekken 3 for hours but this does not mean that I did not play Tekken 5 a lot when I laid my hands on it. The first Tekken game appeared in 1995 and it was an instant success. We are talking about a lot of people playing in arcades and at home, with the same intensity and there is a huge tradition to live up to, one that was maintained in Tekken 5, a game that does come with great visuals, a lot of 3D action and some modes that were not available in the original arcade platform.

The first good news that comes with Tekken 5 is that Tekken 4 is kind of put aside. That game put in some position changing moves that were not at all popular so the 5th version did put in a back to basics approach. This is why Tekken 5 has quite a great classic feel and we can compare it with Tekken 3 from that (more…)

This is one of the most popular games in the world developed by EA Games. If you are familiar with the series you probably know that the last 3 NFS games were a disappointment to the fans.

Starting with Underground, EA let go of the simulation type of game that we got used to in Porsche Unleashed, and concentrated on arcade games only. This was disappointing because NFS used to be the best at this type of games. Now this game is all about tuning your ride, which is actually cool because lots of people these days are caught up with this fab. It is certain that NFS: Underground 2 was the most complete game of all, considering the actual tuning aspects. Most Wanted brought back the police into the action. This way, besides the actual races, (more…)

You might also find the title of Burnout Domination. The entire series has been incredible so far and this game here promised to be the best one yet (just like any title that is a sequel to a previous success). When I first put in the game in my Playstation 2 I got a strange feeling. At first glance the game is very similar with Burnout Revenge but if we start to look deeper we will find several differences.

It was very nice from my point of view to see a game that is now more focused on drifting and speed chains instead of takedowns. The speed you get in this game is quite hardcore so to speak and there were several occasions when I just yelled: “Holly S@#$” at some (more…)

Although this usually means that you would end up with a mediocre game, this is not the case with the series as it is quite interactive and totally enjoyable. Fight Night Round 3 comes with a lot of interesting aspects and with some improvements when compared to the last games in the series, although not that much, still enough to make you want to have another match. The bad part (if we can call it like that) is that the best parts of this fighting game are the ones that have not changed since Fight Night Round 2. Total Punch Control is back in the game and it is just as good as in 2004. I expect a lot of veterans to start throwing boxing combos easily with this implementation.

I was quite new to the Fight Night concept but that did not play an important factor in the speed with which I learned how to play. It is easy if you put a little effort in it. What is difficult is when you want to master the strong (more…)

Fox actually wanted to cancel the show but after so many fans turned in to buy around 5 million copies of a DVD box set including the second season, the series was put back in the program. Now we have the chance to play Family Guy – The Game, available on PS2, XBOX and PSP. I tested the game on PS2, finished it and had a lot of time in the process. The big plus of the game is that the same writers and actors are involved as in the animated series. This basically means that the game is as funny as the show. A big minus is that this action-adventure game is not brilliant and can only be categorized as a medium gaming experience.

To put it all simple, if you watched Family Guy or are a fan of the series you will definitely be entertained and (more…)

The first game of the series was a huge success. Contrary to other games, Diablo 2, which followed the story of the first game, was also very popular. Blizzard didn’t offer the fans just another lame comeback, but a great game indeed. Although lots of RPGs appeared since, Diablo is still a game that millions all over the world play. Also, millions of websites are dedicated to this game all over the world. This can only mean that the public’s interest has not at all faded.

Besides the fact that Diablo 2 has a way better graphic engine comparing to the first one, the gameplay and storyline are just as good and caching. This game brings you in a mystical world of adventures. You can play the role of different characters, from which you can choose at the beginning: a barbarian, a necromancer, a sorceress, a paladin and an amazon. The Lord of Destruction expansion also brigs us two more characters: a druid and an assassin. On the other hand, the world of professional wrestling games does not really have that many fans. Smackdown vs Raw 2007 is a game that might change some people’s view on this topic. My girlfriend, who likes games like Rogue Galaxy, Final Fantasy or Legend of Zelda, was impressed a little with the game. I must say that I am a big fan of WWE and TNA and I was looking forward to playing this game and as soon as I put it in my Playstation 2 I was quickly grabbed by it. The game is highly addictive, especially for fans of simulated, spectacular and acted fights like in professional wrestling. Smackdown vs Raw 2007 comes with some new elements, an improved look and a whole lot more.

Just like with every game in the series, Smackdown vs Raw 2007 comes to the table with new features, improved gameplay and a look that is very impressive. This is one the closest to reality fighting games (more…)

Produced by Blizzard Entertainment, already made famous by such titles as Diablo, Starcraft and the Warcraft series, their latest brain-child took the world by storm.

What is it? A MMORPG. That is to say it’s a roleplaying game, with all the goodies that has to offer, with a twist: it’s online. Thousands of players world-wide can connect to hundreds of copies of the game-world and enjoy the contents along with others. Still, there are many other MMORPG’s out there. Everquest, Guildwars, Eve, the more recent Dungeons and Dragons Online, to name a few. So what makes “WoW” as it rapidly became known, so special? It’s a question that most avid players find really hard to answer. Let’s try to break it down a bit and explore what it has to offer.

The world. Based in the lore-setting created by the Warcraft series, in the future of Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne, one of the things that appeals the most to its fans is the (more…)

When I played it I spent so much time on it that it became stressing that I was not able to finish it. It was not due to the fact that it was too difficult but because the game was quite long. In most cases you tend to get bored and there were moments with Rogue Galaxy that will see you getting a little bored due to some battles being repetitive but this usually happens when you basically need to gather more experience in order to defeat a boss monster or something like that (or if you simply want to defeat some more monsters). If we want to take a look at the game in an overall fashion we can say that it is hard to get bored with it as the story is captivating, there are a lot of playable characters, minigames and the recipe for a long and entertaining game is well cooked up.

Rogue Galaxy is built around the story of a young Jaster Rogue. He just wants to hunt beasts on his home planet and wants to have some excitement in (more…)

The world of Dragon Ball Z is one that has so many fans that it would have been stupid not to have a game that would be based on it and trying to bring in the feeling of the series into a combat video game. Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 is the sequel to Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2, of course, one game that I have played for such a long time with friends and had a hell of a time, even more than with Tekken but less when compared to Mortal Kombat Armageddon, which was a lot of fun because of the sheer number of characters you could have chosen to fight as. Now, Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 is one game that did receive a lot of high marks in reviews from all of the specialists out there and you need to agree with them. This new game from the series does bring in a lot of improvements but it also features some downsides that should be known.

The entire series can be compared to EA’s sports games because there is little (more…)

It is needless to say that everybody knows about the Mortal Kombat series and we are talking about a series that is so popular that simply the name sells. My personal problem with Deception is that I got to play it after I had already played Mortal Kombat Armageddon a lot. This means that I was a little disappointed but after I got over that feeling I started to realize that we are dealing with a tremendous game. We have different game modes in Konquest, classic arcade, puzzle kombat and chess kombat. Puzzle kombat is really fun and you can add a lot of fun to the game by simply playing this. Chess kombat is one game mode that is highly entertaining as it features a combination of chess and classic mortal kombat fighting that make it very fun, strategic and entertaining. Konquest is not as good or entertaining as in Armageddon but then again, Armageddon did come after Deception.

The Classic Arcade game mode is probably the best part of the game and it is that one part of every Mortal Kombat game in the series that (more…)
