Jaster Rogue - Rogue GalaxyRogue Galaxy is one game that seems to never end. When I played it I spent so much time on it that it became stressing that I was not able to finish it. It was not due to the fact that it was too difficult but because the game was quite long. In most cases you tend to get bored and there were moments with Rogue Galaxy that will see you getting a little bored due to some battles being repetitive but this usually happens when you basically need to gather more experience in order to defeat a boss monster or something like that (or if you simply want to defeat some more monsters). If we want to take a look at the game in an overall fashion we can say that it is hard to get bored with it as the story is captivating, there are a lot of playable characters, minigames and the recipe for a long and entertaining game is well cooked up.

Rogue Galaxy is built around the story of a young Jaster Rogue. He just wants to hunt beasts on his home planet and wants to have some excitement in his life. Well, this kid ends up meeting a highly experienced bounty hunter and we are faced with a simple case of mistaken identity. This is how Jaster’s adventure starts and you will end up going through many planets and an interesting storyline. Now the game will see you watching a lot of movies and cut scenes that are rendered with the use of the 3D engine noticed. This means that your characters will be seen equipped with the weapons you put on them and this goes for outfits as well. The characters are also anime style but it is a very nice mix between anime and reality to some degrees and you will surely find this enjoyable (unless you completely hate anime). The combat scenes are a little different than in other games and no matter what other reviews are telling you, they are difficult at times and you will need to think when acting although small breathers are obtainable through a pause screen that you can use to have your characters use special abilities, drink potions and so on.

Rogue Galaxy comes with an interesting way to combine weapons and build those special abilities. You will also get better at using the weapons you utilize in the sense that they will get upgraded as well, eventually getting to a maximum. When two similar weapons are at a maximum level you can combine them with the use of a funny little character you will carry around in your inventory, thus obtaining better weapons that can reach a new maximum, get combined with another one and so on. On the whole, you will need around half an hour for each important process of the game to fully understand and master and you will get better at them as the game progresses. Rogue Galaxy truly is a huge game and one that will keep you hooked for weeks.
